(( Yes and no. It all depends on the player. 

Personally, I play AP Ezreal time to time just to try something different. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The real problem is that he can’t trade back well with any AP champ. If you can get your W in sometime when they try to last hit great, but most AP champs use some type of skill. (Anivia ult, Malz dot, etc) so it’s rather hard. He doesn’t have much trading power, but once out of the laning phase and when he gets his Lich Bane he’s somewhat scary. He becomes more scary when he gets his death cap. His combos hit harder than AD, but they’re also harder to hit. His ult packs one heck of a punch when AP too. 

TL;DR: He doesn’t have enough power to trade back with other APs, so you’ll have a tough laning phase if your jungler doesn’t come and get’s scary mid to late game when he has a few items.

So that awesome moment when you snipe something without meaning to.

Playing with clan + friends I’m in bot lane getting killed. So I’m like AH SCREW IT and I ult as Ezreal for some damage before I die. Suddenly, my ult passes mid lane and it kills Twisted Fate. That just made my night.

Another snipe was when I was playing Kennen. Bot lane on blue side, and the tribrush in bot lane? Very helpful. So like this Lee Sin kills my teammates and then ‘gets away’ when I go to the tribrush and my friend’s like “he’s not gonna be there”. What happens when I randomly throw a Q in? AN ENEMY HAS BEEN SLAIN.
